CASTING SHOCKER: FORMER HOLLYOAKS STAR NATHAN SUSSEX JOINS CORRIE TO UPEND SALLY AND TIM’S LIVES!

🎭 Hollyoaks Villain Joins Corrie! Nathan Sussex Cast to Upend Sally and Tim Metcalfe’s Fostering Journey!

There is a major new face heading to Weatherfield, and he’s bringing a massive curveball with him! Former Hollyoaks actor Nathan Sussex—best known for his chilling role as villain Buster Smith—is officially joining Coronation Street in a storyline that promises to put fan-favorite couple Sally and Tim Metcalfe through the ultimate test.

Before fans start panicking about romantic betrayal, fear not: soap bosses have confirmed there is no cheating storyline on the horizon for the beloved duo.

A Fostering Curveball 🍼

Instead, Nathan Sussex’s new character will directly cross paths with Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim (Joe Duttine) as they navigate their high-stakes journey as foster parents to the Michaelis children—Joanie, Shanice, and Brody.

Corrie producer Kate Brooks previously teased that a massive, unexpected subplot would completely throw the couple’s lives into chaos:

“There’s a massive story for Sally and Tim that comes to the fore,” Brooks revealed. “It’s a story that tests them as people, tests them as a couple, but tests them as foster parents as well. It’s a bit of a curveball and it comes from slightly left field, but absolutely upends their lives.”

Triple Threat Return 🎭

In other Weatherfield casting news, TV veteran Elizabeth Rider is making an unprecedented return to the soap in a third distinct role!

Having previously played Ashley Peacock’s biological mother Kathleen Gutteridge back in 1999, and later returning as a social worker assisting Les Battersby-Brown with Chesney’s adoption, Rider is set to make Corrie history as she steps back onto the Cobbles later this summer.

How will Nathan Sussex’s arrival impact the Michaelis kids, and can Sally and Tim’s iconic marriage withstand the dramatic fallout?
