BAD NEWS FOR DAISY FANS: CHARLOTTE JORDAN DROPS A DEVASTATING UPDATE ON HER CORRIE FUTURE!

🌴 No Cobbles Comeback! Charlotte Jordan Shuts Down Daisy Midgeley Return—And Lands Retro BBC Crime Role!

It is officially time for Coronation Street fans to put those reunion hopes on ice. Actress Charlotte Jordan has delivered a candid update regarding her fan-favorite character, Daisy Midgeley, confirming that a return to Weatherfield is definitely not on the cards anytime soon.

It has been just over a year since Daisy dramatically absconded from the Cobbles in May 2025—fleeing to the sunny shores of Bali after swiping a cool £60,000 from her stepmother, Jenny Bradley.

“Nobody’s Asked!” ✈️

Speaking exclusively to Radio Times, Charlotte put the rumors to rest, revealing that Corrie bosses haven’t even approached her to bring Daisy back to her old stomping ground.

“Oh, well, nobody’s asked [laughs],” Charlotte admitted cheerfully. “But for now I’m happy to sort of just keep exploring and keep seeing what… I mean, I only left a year ago, it’s very early days, so now I’m happy to keep giving it a good go.”

While the door remains open for the future, Charlotte is focused on spreading her wings—and she’s already secured a massive new gig!

From Weatherfield to 1970s Mystery ✂️

Charlotte is making her screen return in the brand-new BBC crime drama The Hairdresser Mysteries, starring opposite comedic powerhouse Sally Phillips.

Set in the retro 1970s, the series follows upmarket city stylist Lily Petal (Phillips) as she relocates to the sleepy village of Blossom Vale, only to find herself knee-deep in local gossip, a suspicious death, and a high-stakes antique heist.

Reflecting on stepping out of Daisy’s high-heeled shoes and into a completely different genre, Charlotte credited her time on the ITV soap for preparing her for the fast pace of TV filming.

“Corrie was a fantastic training ground in that sense,” Charlotte shared, thrilled to tackle a role that is the exact opposite of the fiery Daisy Midgeley. “I did really like playing a character that couldn’t be more different… It’s a very different world, a different tone, and different vibes. So that was great.”
