On today’s episode of Bold and Beautiful, viewers finally received confirmation of what many probably already suspected — Dr. Li Finnegan is playing God and keeping her keeping her niece (who is also her granddaughter), Luna, alive while telling the rest of the world that the young havoc-wreaker is dead.
The Past Is Prologue
Since the moment Li announced that Luna had passed away, which aired on July 10, she has been acting suspiciously, and many fans clocked her out-of-character behavior, such as defending Luna’s murderous streak (“It wasn’t her fault”) when she’d had nary a kind word for Luna when she was alive, and being vague about her funeral plans (“It’s handled”) — not to mention how she got twitchy every time Luna’s name was mentioned.
Longtime viewers had seen this kind of behavior from the renegade doctor before. Back in April 2022, Sheila tried to kill Steffy in a dark alley, but instead the notorious Ms. Carter shot her biological son, Finn, who stepped in front of the bullet to protect the woman he loved. Everyone was told that Finn had died that night, but in truth, his adoptive mother, Li, had spirited him away from the hospital to care for him herself. She practically willed him back to life through sheer determination and tireless care. Her actions were revealed on in May of that year, Monday, when B&B showed that Finn was actually still alive, thanks to Li’s machinations. Eventually, Sheila and the rest of the world found out what Li had done.
The B&B episode that aired on Tuesday, July 29, delivered a similar shock. Li entered a room with a box full of medical supplies. She carefully unpacked the items and placed them on the desk beside her. She turned her attention to a curtain, which she pulled back to reveal a secret hospital setup, complete with monitors and IV stand.
Li typed a number into the machine and watched carefully what happened next as she adjusted the bottom portion of the IV bag on the stand. She then walked to the foot of the bed to take in the astonishing (to some) sight before her eyes. The camera slowly panned down the bed to reveal that it was Luna who was hooked up to the machines.
