The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, October 22 reveals Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will ask Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) to be honest with her.
Also coming up, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will put Ian Ward (Ray Wise) on blast. Plus, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will have a tough choice to make. And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will check in with his mom in Genoa City.
Y&R spoilers tease Sharon will have a meltdown over Mariah’s phone call. She’ll tell Nick her daughter needs her but she couldn’t agree to go see her in Boston. “Both my babies are in pain but I can’t fix it.” So, Sharon will call the clinic and talk with Mariah’s therapist, then she’ll go in to see Noah.
As for Nick, he’ll call Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and tell her about the strange developments regarding Noah’s accident. He’ll talk about Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and wants Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to investigate her.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nick Asks Sharon If She’s Going To Stay In LA
After his phone call, Nick will head into Noah’s room and join Sharon there. He’ll ask if she’s staying or going to Boston. Sharon will say she’s staying in LA. She feels better after speaking to Mariah’s doctors. “She’s safe there, she’s protected.”
In Boston, Ian will tell Mariah she’s suffering from a self-imposed loneliness. “I feel alone, because I am alone,” she’ll reply. “You’re not really here, you’re not real, you’re in hell, where you belong.” But Ian will say the point is he’ll always be there for her.
“Victor Newman shot you and you died,” she’ll tell him. However, Ian will say the world is full of miracles. “Would you like to feel my heartbeat, give me your hand.” Ian will add he embraces the Mariah before him, he applauds her. “That is why I am the only one in this world you can count on.”
Mariah will close her eyes to block him out. When she opens them, Ian will move his hands away from his own eyes. “Peek-a-boo,” he’ll say. He’ll pick up an untorn queen of hearts playing card off the floor. Mariah will say Tessa tore that up. “Am I the reason why you checked in here?” he’ll ask.
Ian will tell her she has dark instincts. “You keep trying to be the good girl but it’s just not in you. You’re evil.” So, Mariah will ask what she should do with her darkness. “Take some action,” he’ll reply. And when she starts crying, he’ll ask if she already has and to tell him everything.
“Even after you died, I still couldn’t get rid of you, and there he was, and he smiled at me,” she’ll add. “But he wasn’t a person to me, he was just an echo of you.” Mariah felt like he was the answer to erasing him from her brain and Ian will ask what she did.
“I smiled back and I let him buy me drinks and even kiss me.” So, when he invited her back to his room she knew it was the solution. “That by erasing your life I could regain mine.” But when she put a pillow over the man’s face, she couldn’t do it.

“You didn’t break me then and you won’t break me now,” Mariah will tell him. “You are nothing and I want you gone.” She’ll close her eyes and when she opens them, Ian will be gone. But the untorn playing card will remain on the table.
Finally, Daniel will start to pull away from Tessa’s kiss, but she’ll pull him right back in. Then she’ll break away and apologize, saying she’s drunk and stupid. But Daniel will say it’s okay, she needed a distraction. Tessa will reply it wasn’t an out of the blue accident. “I’ve thought about kissing you before.”
Daniel will admit he’s thought of it too. He’ll say maybe they should get some sleep and forget that it happened. However, they’ll realize they won’t be able to sleep. So, Daniel will suggest they go for a walk. They’ll end up at Crimson Lights and Tessa will say she wishes Daniel would talk to her and not hold back about what he’s thinking.
However, Daniel will say it would be something they’d both regret. “I have feelings for you I can’t explain, there is comfort but also excitement,” Tessa will admit. “That feeling, it makes me float but it also grounds me.” She’ll add he makes her laugh, lets her cry and he’s truly her best friend.
“Tessa, I’m falling in love with you,” Daniel will blurt, but instantly regret it. Tessa will say in another timeline she could have loved him too. “This is the only timeline I can focus on,” Daniel will reply. Tessa will tell him she’s going to fight for her marriage, but it doesn’t mean he’s not important to her and she hopes she hasn’t ruined their friendship. But has she?
