Peter Andre issues ‘desperate’ plea for help as family member diagnosed with ‘very rare blood cancer’ — and begs fans to share his message
Peter Andre has issued a deeply emotional and urgent plea to his fans after revealing that a close family member has been diagnosed with a very rare form of blood cancer.
The singer and television personality has long been open with his followers about health struggles within his family — particularly concerning his mother. But this time, Peter has shared news that has left him appealing directly to the public for help.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Peter revealed that his sister-in-law’s father, Harri, has received a devastating diagnosis and is now in urgent need of a stem cell donor.
Sharing the heartbreaking update, Peter wrote:
“My sister-in-law’s father, Harri, is in desperate need of a stem cell donor, as he is fighting a very rare blood cancer.”
He went on to explain that Harri’s situation is especially difficult due to the limited pool of suitable donors.
“His only chance is to find someone, mainly of Asian descent, as a donor for a stem cell transplant,” Peter added.
Visibly shaken by the situation, the star pleaded with his followers to help spread the word as widely as possible — hoping that someone, somewhere, might be able to save Harri’s life.
“Please, please, pass this on in the hope that someone may be able to help. Thank you so much for your help,” he urged.

Peter’s sister-in-law, Sunny, also shared her own emotional appeal on social media, encouraging people to sign up as stem cell donors.
She wrote:
“To all my friends seeing the heartbreaking news, below is a link to sign up as a stem cell donor. You could be my dad’s lifesaver. Thank you all. Please share far and wide. Let’s save my beautiful daddy.”
Tragically, this is not the only serious illness Peter is currently facing within his family.
His mother, Thea, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease in 2023. She lives on Australia’s Gold Coast with Peter’s father, Savvas.
In a recent update shared earlier this month, Peter revealed that his mother can now no longer speak.
Posting a touching video of his daughter Belle video-calling her grandparents, Peter opened up about the emotional toll.
“No matter what happens in my life, moments like these for me are the most precious,” he wrote.
“Sadly, now that mum can’t speak anymore. However, Belle has a wonderful daily conversation with her Bapou, and as you can see, they adore each other.”
He continued:
“She does get to see her Yiayia daily, but sadly, the Parkinson’s is taking its toll. I cherish every moment I have with both my parents and my children.”
As Peter balances public life with deeply personal heartbreak, his message remains clear: hope now rests in the kindness — and action — of strangers.
