Ruth Langsford ‘is losing her patience with estranged husband Eamonn Holmes after he failed to reach out to their son Jack over Christmas’ amid their divorce battle

Ruth Langsford is reportedly at the end of her tether with estranged husband Eamonn Holmes after he allegedly made little effort to contact their son Jack during the festive period.
The former This Morning presenters were together for 27 years and married for 14, before announcing the end of their relationship in June 2024.

Eamonn, 66, has since moved on with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander — who is 22 years his junior — while Ruth has remained single and quietly focused on healing.
‘The Least He Could Have Done Was Reach Out’
According to Bella Magazine, Eamonn failed to reach out to Jack, 23, over Christmas and New Year.
A source told the publication:
“Ruth is furious that Eamonn made no attempt to reach out to his son Jack to offer an olive branch and try to build bridges over the festive period. The least he could have done was wish him good tidings and keep the door open. She won’t forgive him.”
The magazine also claims that Eamonn gave his other children — son Niall and daughter Rebecca, whom he shares with ex-wife Gabrielle — “the cold shoulder” over the holidays.

A representative for Eamonn has been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
Jack ‘Sides With His Mum’
It was previously reported by the Daily Mail that Jack has largely sided with Ruth during the divorce.
A source said last July:
“Things remain strained between him and his father.”
Ruth shares Jack with the GB News presenter, who also has three older children from his first marriage.

Separate Christmases
In December, Eamonn told The Sun:
“I’m going to be with Katie this Christmas. I’ve never not been in the UK for Christmas, but maybe one year I’ll go abroad.”
Meanwhile, Ruth revealed she has been attending therapy since the breakdown of her marriage.
Speaking to woman&home, she said:
“I started counselling when Eamonn and I separated, and I’m still having it. It is very powerful and very useful. It gives me tools to deal with things.”
She added:
“The end of a very long relationship takes a lot of unravelling. Counselling helps you move on from it, to not be held back.”
‘I Will Survive’
Despite the pain, Ruth insists she is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
“I definitely see light in the future where I didn’t before,” she said.
“Before, I saw darkness… but now the fear has gone. Do you crumble? Do you lie down and die? Oh no, not I. I will survive.”
Financial Rows and New Relationships

Friends of Ruth have claimed she became worn down caring for Eamonn after his hip operation, before discovering he was in a relationship with Katie — whom he had met several years earlier. There is no suggestion that he cheated.
The pair are yet to officially divorce and are currently locked in a dispute over their finances, with Ruth reportedly upset that the marital home may need to be sold.
Eamonn has also said he has been “ruined” by HMRC following a tax row over whether he was a self-employed freelancer or a “disguised employee” of ITV during his This Morning years between 2011 and 2015.
