The 18-year-old opens up about growing up guarded, family fears — and why her father’s relationship still makes her believe in love.

Princess Andre has revealed that watching her father’s marriage has restored her faith that “true love does work” — after years of growing up with her guard firmly up following her mother’s turbulent romantic history.

The reality star, 18, has now spoken publicly about her mum’s whirlwind wedding after Katie Price, 47, announced last month that she had married businessman Lee Andrews in Dubai — just days after the pair first met.
While Princess had remained silent on Katie’s fourth marriage until now, she was previously reported to be “completely horrified” and “deeply concerned” by the sudden union, particularly amid a wave of troubling allegations and exposés surrounding Lee’s past relationships and business dealings.
‘My guard is up’

In a new interview this weekend, Princess admitted she has yet to meet her new step-father, but insisted that despite her worries, she ultimately wants her mother to be happy.
She described Katie as “crazy” in an affectionate sense, adding that if her mum is genuinely content, she supports her — even while remaining cautious.

However, in the latest series of her reality show, The Princess Diaries, the aspiring model made clear that she has never been afraid to voice concerns about people close to her parents.
Growing up watching Katie’s dramatic love life — which has included four marriages and nine engagements — Princess admitted it has left a lasting mark.
“I’ve seen first-hand what heartbreak can look like, and my mum is the prime example,” she said, according to The Sun.
“She’s had so many people do her wrong, and growing up seeing that has given me an eye-opener of what people can really be like.”
She added candidly:
“Because of that, my guard is up.”
Hope found in her father’s marriage
Despite her caution when it comes to relationships, Princess said seeing her father Peter Andre with his wife Emily MacDonagh has helped restore her belief in lasting love.
Peter and Emily share three children — Millie, 12, Theo, nine, and Arabella, one — and Princess said their stable relationship stands in stark contrast to what she witnessed growing up.
“Obviously, I see my dad and Emily and think, ‘true love does work,’” she said.
While determined not to expect the worst from people, Princess explained she remains alert and unafraid to speak up.
“It’s the worst way to live your life thinking everyone is going to use you,” she said. “But you do have to be prepared. I’m quite switched-on — even when it comes to my parents’ friends.”
“I’ll tell Mum and Dad, ‘Hmm, I don’t like that person.’ I tell them if I’m suspicious of anyone around them.”
Alarm bells over the wedding
Her comments come amid reports that Princess took matters into her own hands after “alarm bells” rang over Katie’s sudden marriage to Lee.
According to sources, Princess learned about the wedding online like everyone else — and was instantly unsettled after reading reports and social-media claims about Lee’s past.
“Princess is very sharp,” an insider told The Sun. “She realised straight away that if her mum wouldn’t listen to family, she might listen to women who had been in the same situation.”
The source claimed Princess encouraged Katie to speak directly with Lee’s ex-partners before she flew back to Dubai for her honeymoon, hoping her mother would hear their side of the story.
“She is utterly heartbroken and deeply concerned,” the insider added.
Family divisions deepen
Princess is not the only family member said to be uneasy.
Katie’s sister Sophie has also hinted at her disapproval, announcing that their shared podcast would be “paused” for the foreseeable future following the wedding. Earlier this month, Sophie shared a pointed video of rolling British countryside with the caption: “This and never stepping foot in Dubai,” after describing having “one hell of a week”.
Despite the mounting concern, Katie has continued to fiercely defend her husband, insisting she is “a grown a** woman” who will “do what I want”.
She recently launched an explosive online rant aimed at Lee’s ex Alana Percival, branding her an “irrelevant troll” and dismissing her accusations.
Katie has also denied reports that Lee punched Kerry Katona’s boyfriend Paolo Margaglione during a Dubai trip — claims that have reportedly strained her 22-year friendship with the Atomic Kitten star.
Standing firm — despite the storm
Speaking on Instagram Stories, Katie insisted there was no altercation and described Lee as her “absolute teddy bear”, adding that they remain “so in love” and are planning a second wedding celebration in the UK.
Yet behind the defiant public statements, Princess’s comments offer a rare and poignant insight into the emotional toll her mother’s relationship history has had — and why her father’s quieter, steadier marriage has become her blueprint for hope.
