Lara Trump takes center stage in traditional dress as she dines with Donald & Chinese President Xi on 1st day of summit

The 43-year-old turned heads on Thursday in a body-hugging, ankle-length gown in warm brown, splashed with large daisy blooms in white, blush, and cream, with a classic high mandarin collar and short cap sleeves.

She carried a small white quilted handbag and wore her blonde hair down in loose waves as she walked into the ornate gold-paneled hall alongside husband Eric Trump.

That morning, Lara cut a striking figure in a long white structured dress covered in black polka dots, paired with chunky black sunglasses as she walked alongside her father and Xi.

The glamorous daughter-in-law of the US President was front and center as Trump toured Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday morning.

Trump arrived in China on Wednesday with a heavyweight delegation including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk.

Business chiefs, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, also traveled with the delegation as the White House pushes for a fresh economic reset with China.

Lara had already teased the trip before departure, posting on X, “Team CHYYYYYNA.”

She was seen descending the steps of Air Force One alongside Eric Trump as the presidential party touched down in Beijing to an extravagant welcome.

Chinese schoolchildren chanted “welcome, welcome” as Trump arrived before being greeted by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and senior foreign affairs officials.

The long-awaited summit between Trump and Xi had originally been planned for March but was delayed by the Iran war.

Before leaving Washington, Trump stressed the scale of the meeting, declaring, “We’re the two superpowers.”

“We’re the strongest nation on Earth in terms of military. China’s considered second,” he said.

Trump also said he and Xi “have a lot of things to discuss.”

“I wouldn’t say Iran is one of them, to be honest with you, because we have Iran very much under control,” he said.

Taiwan is expected to dominate much of the talks after Trump recently confirmed he would discuss US arms sales to the island – something Beijing fiercely opposes.

On Monday, Trump said, “President Xi would like us not to.”

Taiwanese Deputy Foreign Minister Francois Wu previously warned, “What we are the most afraid is to put Taiwan on the menu of the talk between Xi Jinping and President Trump.

“We worry, and we need to avoid that it happens.”

China has steadily ramped up pressure on Taiwan in recent years, with Xi declaring in January that “reunification” with the island is “unstoppable.”
