Jenna Bush Hager, the vibrant co-host of TODAY With Jenna & Friends, recently opened up about her longing to expand her family with husband Henry Hager. During the October 3 episode, the 43-year-old mother of three shared a heartfelt mix of regret and hope, revealing her wish for a fourth child. “I would have had 22 children… not 22,” she laughed, quickly correcting herself. “I had three, which feels like 21. I would have had one more. I would have rounded that out.”

The conversation took a turn when guest co-host Justin Sylvester chimed in with optimism, saying, “It’s never too late, though!” Jenna, however, expressed doubt, replying, “Yeah, it’s probably too late. But they can come, and they can just exhale.”

Jenna contrasted her own childhood with today’s, lamenting the constant pressure kids face due to social media. “The problem with social media is they’re never exhaling,” she noted. Reflecting on a “simpler time” in her high school years, she recalled finding solace with her grandmother or in moments of reprieve from social pressures. “I feel so bummed for the kids of this generation because there’s really no safe spot because of social media,” she said. For Jenna, fostering an environment where her kids can be themselves, imperfections and all, is paramount. “You’re never going to feel like you fit perfectly, and that’s okay,” she emphasized.
