Amanda Owen has defiantly defended herself after she posted a video wearing a bikini while on horseback.
Appearing on Loose Women on Wednesday, the farmer insisted she feels ‘reinvigorated’ since turning 50 and even considered posing naked.
The TV personality shot to fame after starring in the reality series Our Yorkshire Farm, which chronicled her life with her now ex-husband Clive and their nine children.
In a recent update to Instagram she stripped down to a bikini and jumped on a horse and vowed to ‘ride out the storm’ of negative comments.
Speaking to Jane Moore on the ITV talk show, Amanda said: ‘Since becoming 50 I have had a reawakening, and having teenagers helps.
‘I feel invigorated and like I have reinvested myself. It’s something that I have missed.’

She added: ‘The internet got off lightly because I could have gone full Lady Godiva. I was having one of those days where I was feeling really strong.
‘I put it out there not expecting it to get the reaction it did, but you can’t please everyone.’
In the clip as she rode horseback against a dazzling backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, Amanda said: ‘One day, in the not too distant future, I will be far too old to ride a horse, far too old to wear a bikini and definitely far too old to ride a horse and wear a bikini.
‘So, for now, that’s what I’m going to do, if the weather lets me.’
The farmer captioned her post: ‘Determined to ride out the storm of any negativity or concerns for my health.
‘Being happy and confident is easier on the most perfect evening and in good company.
‘A bonus is not being blighted by insects whose stings and bites hurt far, far more than any derisory comments.’
Huddersfield-born Amanda also included a quote from Greek philosopher Epictetus that read: ‘Don’t explain your philosophy, embody it.’
