In a raw video shared to mark World Cancer Day, Kelsey spoke candidly about how Tom’s diagnosis and death reshaped everything she thought she knew about life.

“For some people, World Cancer Day is just a day,” she said. “For us, it’s the line that split our lives into before and after.”

“Before cancer, I was a wife and a mum, busy with normal worries, normal routines. After cancer, I understood how fragile everything truly is.”

She described losing Tom as more than grief — calling it “love with nowhere to go.”

“It didn’t just break my heart,” she admitted. “It changed the way I see the world forever.”

Kelsey explained that grief isn’t something you leave behind — it’s something you learn to live with.

“It’s learning how to carry someone with you instead of beside you,” she said.
“It’s smiling for your children when your chest feels unbearably heavy.”

She acknowledged the quiet struggles people rarely talk about — surviving days you never imagined you’d have to face.

“You can be grieving and still be grateful,” she said.
“You can be broken and still be brave.”

And then came the line that struck a chord with thousands:

“You can lose someone — and still choose to live.”

Kelsey revealed that cancer changed not only her grief, but the way she lives day to day.

“I live differently now,” she explained. “I say the ‘I love yous’. I take the trips. I hug longer. I don’t sweat the small stuff anymore — because I know tomorrow isn’t promised.”

She added: “You don’t move on from grief. You move forward with it. You grow around your pain.”

“I’m still standing,” she said softly. “Not because it hasn’t hurt — but because love is stronger than loss.”

Following Tom’s death, Kelsey chose to focus her energy on protecting Aurelia and Bodhi, helping them navigate a world forever changed.

“Grief doesn’t leave,” she wrote alongside the video. “You just learn how to carry it while still choosing to live, love, and show up — especially for the little eyes watching you.”

She added: “Cancer takes so much — time, futures, plans. But it can’t take love. That stays. Always.”

🌸 Finding Love Again — And Facing Judgment

Kelsey is now in a relationship with boyfriend Will Lindsay, whom she met last year. While she has found happiness again, she has also faced criticism and online trolling for moving forward.

Speaking previously, she admitted the guilt never fully disappears — but neither does the need to keep living.

“Our house was once full of sadness,” she said. “Now it’s full of happiness. The children deserve that more than anything.”

“It doesn’t take away from the love I had for Tom,” she insisted. “It just means I’m still here.”

🕊️ A Family Already Marked by Loss

In June, Kelsey shared another devastating blow — revealing that her third child, Phoenix, was stillborn just one week before his due date.

In a poem, she described welcoming her son in silence — naming him Phoenix, “brave and bright,” and promising he would always be part of their family.

She later asked for privacy, explaining the grief was still raw and overwhelming.
