General Hospital Spoilers Fall Preview: Valentin Returns, Charlotte Too

There’s a lot of drama, violence, manipulation, and backstabbing currently going on in Port Charles and Croatia on General Hospital, where there is a WSB presence as well as Jason Morgan, Britt Westbourne, and a mystery mastermind located who knows where. With Drew shot, Sonny doing damage control, and Sidwell causing chaos from afar, why not bring back a villain with finesse and charm?

Father and Daughter Comebacks

It sounds like it’s a good time for GH’s Valentin Cassadine to return. In addition, his daughter’s name has been mentioned. But it has been months since we’ve actually seen Charlotte. That’s about to change, too.

Valentin

You can’t keep a devious character off the GH canvas for that long. TV Insider reports Valentin Cassadine will have an impact this fall. He’ll have to escape his high-security prison, which the WSB placed him in first. Although Valentin manages to cause chaos from wherever he is. Revenge will be on his mind and, of course, escape. This comes from GH’s co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten. [Valentin] casts a long shadow, even from his cell in Steinmauer. Revelations this fall will have him striking an unlikely alliance and making a run at freedom — and taking revenge on Jack Brennan.

This means James Patrick Stuart will be back. His character hasn’t been seen since March, when Brennan arranged for Valentin to be escorted to Steinmauer, a particularly nasty WSB prison in Europe. Just what has Valentin been up to since starting his stint behind bars? Besides escape and revenge against Brennan, what else is he involved in? The man’s a mad multitasker, after all.

Charlotte

The EP also previewed the return of Valentin and Lulu’s daughter, Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Lately, Charlotte has been around, only off-screen. But she will pop up again soon, and it will apparently be in a pivotal role related to her dad. Valentin and Charlotte have always shared a strong connection. She’s very useful to anyone who wants something from Valentin — and she knows it. She isn’t afraid to exploit her relationship with her father to get what she wants. She’ll draw closer to Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) as we develop General Hospital’s next generation.

It’s exciting that GH will finally spend quality time on the show’s younger generation. They are all talented actors already doing great work. Hopefully, this means other characters will return to Port Charles soon.
