BRAVE MUM, BROKEN HEART
Reality star Aaron Chalmers’ ex, Talia Oatway, has shared an emotional new update that’s left fans devastated — revealing her son Oakley has been admitted to hospital once again.

The devoted mum-of-three, who shares her children with Geordie Shore star and MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers, opened up about what she described as “endless tears” in a touching Instagram post that’s gone viral among supporters.
“It’s been 11 days since we got admitted to hospital,” Talia wrote alongside a tearful photo.
“A transfer to another hospital, two more GAs, more training for mumma, endless tears — and another diagnosis for my Oakley boy. Road to recovery now.”
Her words, raw and trembling with emotion, came with a photo showing her visibly exhausted but holding on to hope beside her brave little boy.

Oakley, who was born with Apert Syndrome — a rare genetic disorder that causes fusion of the skull, hands, and feet bones — has faced a long and difficult medical journey since birth.
Talia has been open about his health battles, sharing regular updates as she navigates life between hospital visits and raising her other children, Romeo (4) and Maddox (3).
This latest hospital stay marks 11 difficult days, including another diagnosis, procedures under general anaesthetic, and a transfer between hospitals.
Friends and fellow celebrities rallied around her post with words of encouragement.
Love Island’s Sophie Lee commented: “My strong girl and fighter of a little cherub! You got this!”
Actress Chelsee Healey wrote: “One strong mumma and boy, sending so much love always.”
And Charlotte Trippier added: “Absolute supermum with a warrior of a boy. Love you both so much.”

Just weeks before, Talia revealed that Oakley had undergone a CT scan on his brain as doctors tried to identify the cause of his ongoing sickness.
“They did tell me some bits that’s going on with Oakley’s brain which obviously petrified me,” she said in a shaky Instagram Story.
“I’m waiting for the surgeons in Newcastle and Liverpool to discuss everything so I can understand what’s really happening. It’s just been a really emotional day.”
Her honesty has resonated deeply with followers — many of them parents of children with special needs — who have praised Talia’s strength and openness.

Back in the summer, the young mum described another night of panic when Oakley became violently ill.
“Oakley had the worst sickness last night from 11pm till about 5am,” she shared. “Bath after bath, bed change after bed change. I feel so sorry for him.”
She added that Oakley was preparing for a fundo surgery — a crucial operation to stop his severe sickness — following earlier surgeries on his hands.
Despite her exhaustion, she has continued to update fans with glimpses of happier milestones, including a touching video of Oakley taking his first steps using a walking frame.
“Oakley has been using a walking frame for a few months now,” she wrote proudly. “He’s had special shoes made because normal ones don’t fit his feet — which is common with Apert Syndrome. Today we tried them for the first time.”
 What Is Apert Syndrome?
 What Is Apert Syndrome?
Apert Syndrome, also known as acrocephalosyndactyly, is a rare genetic disorder caused by a mutation in the FGFR2 gene, which affects how bone cells grow and divide.
Children with the condition often have distinct facial and skull features caused by premature fusion of bones. It can lead to hydrocephalus (fluid buildup on the brain), Chiari malformation (brain compression), breathing issues, and heart complications.
It affects roughly 1 in 65,000–88,000 births, and treatment often requires multiple surgeries and lifelong medical monitoring.

Since Oakley’s birth in February 2022, Talia’s life has been an emotional rollercoaster. She and Aaron, who split just months after Oakley’s arrival, continue to co-parent their three children.
Despite the pain and sleepless nights, Talia remains a pillar of strength — documenting both her tears and triumphs for the thousands who follow her journey.
“There are days when it feels like I can’t breathe from worry,” one of her older posts read. “But then I look at Oakley’s smile, and I know why I keep going.”
