In a candid moment on This Morning , Walsh addressed the noticeable changes in his appearance, saying, “People don’t realize I have seriously bad blepharitis. I have to take one pill a day for it or I really struggle.” The 61-year-old star also mentioned that an eye operation might be on the horizon.
The television personality was quick to point out that while many people comment on his looks, they don’t fully understand the health battle behind them. “If I take medication though, I’m fine,” he explained, emphasizing how appearances can often be misleading.

Though blepharitis itself is not typically serious, if left untreated, it can lead to further complications, such as dry eyes, cysts, or even conjunctivitis. This revelation comes a year after Bradley made a major lifestyle change, prompted by a heart disease scare. His father, Daniel, tragically passed away from heart failure at the age of 59, and Bradley admitted that it deeply affected him.
Reflecting on this pivotal moment, Bradley said, “I had a hang-up because my father, Daniel, died at the age of 59. I had it in the back of my mind that I just had to get past my dad’s age. So turning 60 was a bit of a milestone.”
Looking back on his father’s death, Bradley continued, “I was 33 when he passed away. I’d just done the Royal Variety Show performance, which helped launch my career, but my dad died from heart failure two weeks after that and never got to see it.”
Adding to the complexity of his health journey, Bradley also opened up about a hereditary issue with high cholesterol, passed down from his mother, Margaret. Although he isn’t currently on statins, his doctor advised him to get fit in order to lower his cholesterol naturally. “I was a time bomb. I was quite lucky in regards to the calcium test, but my doctor said I produce too much cholesterol. It’s a silent killer,” he admitted.
This wake-up call motivated Bradley to embrace healthier lifestyle changes, including shedding 10lbs. This shift in his habits came just before the COVID-19 lockdown, marking a significant turning point in his personal health journey.
