You heard that right, the creators behind the series of movies from After are out and ready to give out more love stories filled with drama and hardship. So if you’re ready to see more of Hardin Scott and Tessa Young, get ready to know what happened before and after.
The Plans for the Future
According to producer Brian Pitt, he expressed that they could still “expand” the After universe, creating prequels, sequels, and possibly even a spin-off. He mentioned in an interview for Beyond After, that the other projects they could work on to expand the After universe are a prequel titled “Before”, a sequel “After: Next Generation”, and tackle the Landon series, Nothing More, Nothing Less.
“We are working on some other versions. There’s the series ‘Before.’ There’s the Landon series (Nothing More and Nothing Less). So we have a few things in the mix. We have ‘Next Generation’ in the mix. And that’s where we go on the journey with Tessa and Hardin’s kids. So there’s a lot of little things in the mix, and we’re just waiting for the right moment and right time and the right cast and all the things to come together.” Brian Pitt.
Though the process of filming After: Next Generation had already been greenlit and was even predicted to be out by 2025, there haven’t been any official updates on its release, and any other news about the other projects. But with enough fans asking for it, there might be a big chance that we will get the movies on the go.
With the future of the After franchise still out in the air, fans are still optimistic and patient enough to wait for what’s more to come. The promise of expanding the universe of a well-beloved franchise with both a sequel and a prequel is hard to miss out on. But until then, only time can tell. Besides, we might find ourselves watching it in the future after all.
