🔔 Cancer Battle Milestone: Corrie Legend Beverley Callard Rings the Bell After Finishing Radiotherapy!
There is absolutely brilliant news coming from the world of soap royalty today! Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard—affectionately known to millions of fans as the iconic, leopard-print-loving Liz McDonald—has officially smashed a major milestone in her brave battle against breast cancer.
Taking to Instagram with a deeply emotional and triumphant video, the 69-year-old screen icon revealed that she has officially completed her intense course of radiotherapy treatment.

Beverley, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, has been incredibly candid with fans about her medical journey. Back in May, she revealed she was undergoing radiotherapy after having three lymph nodes successfully removed.
Now, after 10 exhausting sessions, the star has officially wrapped her treatment.
“I’ve done it,” Beverley beamed to her followers in the video. “I’ve just finished my last radiotherapy session. Fingers crossed. Yep, that was number 10 for me and lots of people have to have lots more, I know that, but for now that’s finished. Hopefully, don’t know for sure, but hopefully I won’t need any more.”
When her devoted husband, Jon McEwan, could be heard cheering her on off-camera and reminding her to keep up that famous positive mindset, Beverley smiled: “I know positive thinking. Yes definitely.”
The Long Road Ahead 🛣️
While the radiotherapy is over, Beverley was realistic about the next steps, admitting she feels “a bit numb” after really struggling through a rough day just 24 hours prior.
“Now I’ve got to see the professor again in two months and then I’ll know a lot more, and mammograms and oncologists and all that,” she explained. “But radiotherapy is finished for now, so I’m really thrilled. I’m gonna put scruffy clothes on and just sit and watch TV with a cup of tea.”
