Coronation Street Mystery Solved Where Is Audrey Roberts And Will She Return For Platt Family Meltdown
Coronation Street fans have noticed the quiet absence of Platt family matriarch Audrey Roberts played by Sue Nicholls in recent months but the ITV soap has definitely not forgotten her.
Audrey was last seen on screen in November 2025 and it has since been mentioned that she has been staying with Gail Platt over in France.
In April 2026 David Platt played by Jack P Shepherd gave Gail a call to wish her a happy birthday and made a point of asking her to send his love to Gran.
Now the tables have turned and it is Audrey turn to be celebrated. In Monday night episode the Platts gather to film a sweet birthday video to send to her.
The sweet gesture confirms Audrey is still away from Weatherfield and suggests she will not be back any time soon just as her family life collapses into chaos once again.
Huge Week Ahead As Sarah Killer Secret Finally Explodes
It is a massive week for the Platts next week when Sarah Platt played by Tina O Brien killer secret finally catches up with her.
Viewers know Sarah killed Theo Silverton earlier this year after a vicious confrontation on the scaffolding outside his flat. The clash ended with Sarah striking him with a metal bar and sending him crashing to the ground below.
She recently confessed everything to detective constable boyfriend Kit Green played by Jacob Roberts and next week he makes a risky move to protect her. He tries to extract inside information about the investigation from McClaughlin.
The conversation gives him nothing but it does raise McClaughlin suspicions about where his loyalties truly lie.
Police Swoop After Heartfelt Birthday Video For Audrey
Though Kit is convinced the evidence is pointing toward Gary Windass played by Mikey North and that Sarah is in the clear his confidence is shattered.
Just as the Platts finish recording their heartfelt video message for Audrey the police arrive at the door to arrest Sarah.
Later in the week Sarah is formally charged with Theo murder and Lisa Connor Swain played by Vicky Myers delivers a stark warning to Kit. The team think he could be involved too and if he wants to keep his badge he needs to stop protecting Sarah immediately.
