Debbie McGee issued a devastating statement ten years after the death of her husband, magician Paul Daniels. On Tuesday, March 17, Debbie, 67, posted a sweet picture of her posing with Paul as she marked the ten-year anniversary of his death. She wrote: “10 years ago today, I lost my soulmate. I shed my tears this morning and now I am celebrating all the wonderful years we had together.” The post was quickly flooded with supportive messages from her friends and fans, as Zoe Ball replied: “Huge love to you, Debbie.”

One fan wrote: “Thinking of you. He was the best magician. Sending love and hugs.” Another added: “Sad tears. Debbie now has a happy celebration of the love you shared together. Some people never get to meet their soul mate. You are blessed, Debbie. You two fit together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle. I wish you happiness and memories filled with love.”

A third chimed in: “Oh Debbie, it’s such a difficult thing. I lost my husband in November 2024 and I still struggle every day. I guess that’s when you know you were soulmates.”

It comes a year after Debbie admitted that she hadn’t had much interest from potential suitors since Paul doed.

In 2025, she said that she felt her age put people off, as she added: “I don’t know why. I don’t think I had one approach. Since Paul died, I haven’t had that many offers.”

She also recalled Paul’s initial hesitation based on their age gap, remarking: “Paul thought I was far too young (when we met) and kept saying, ‘Go and meet someone your own age’…We had instant chemistry and made each other laugh.”

Debbie and Paul were married for 30 years before he died of brain cancer in 2026, leaving her devastated. He left most of his UK estate to her, which had a gross value exceeding £1.5 million.
