However his win was overshadowed by outbursts from Jimmy Bullard and David Haye regarding their time together in camp, and Adam looked closed to tears at the point Ant and Dec announced he had won over Sir Mo Farah.

Adam was barely able to crack a smile in the final moments of the show, and failed to appear on spin-off show Unpacked immediately afterwards.

Now pictures have emerged of Adam leaving the studios within half an hour of his win, showing how quickly he decided to leave the situation.

Adam looked downcast as he stood at the door at 11pm, while other pictures showed him in the reception with his siblings Ryan and Scott, with co-star Scarlett Moffatt clearly being interviewed on Unpacked on a screen behind them.

The Waterloo Road star appeared to leave at a separate time to former footballer Jimmy Bullard, who he spectacularly clashed with during a trial in South Africa.

Their altercation was a heated topic on the live show, and saw hosts Ant and Dec also get drawn into the argument.

Ant, 50, was then seen leaving the studios flanked by security as he came face to face with Jimmy.

While Adam didn’t have a winners chat on Unpacked, he did take to Instagram today to thank his fans and hit out at people who tried to dim his shine.
