The show is titled Accused and was created by Jimmy McGovern (Cracker, Time). It originally ran for two seasons on the BBC between 2010 and 2012.
Each episode follows a different character in court as they await their verdict, with flashbacks showing how they found themselves accused of the crime.
Each episode tells a different tale, and nearly all the episodes feature a different cast.
Major actors that appear throughout the series include Andy Serkis, Anna Maxwell Martin, Anne-Marie Duff, Christopher Eccleston, Jodie Whittaker, Juliet Stevenson, Naomie Harris, Olivia Colman, Peter Capaldi, Robert Sheehan, Sean Bean, Sheridan Smith, and Stephen Graham.
Accused was added to Netflix in Ireland on 10 September and is currently one of the streaming service’s Top 10 most-watched shows in the country.
The series also landed in fifth place on JustWatch’s Top 10 TV show list for Ireland this week, coming just behind Task, The Girlfriend, The Paper and Alien: Earth.
On top of this, Accused holds a whopping 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and an average score of 7.9/10 on IMDB.
