THE REBEL’S REVENGE: CHARLOTTE CROSBY WALKS AWAY FROM HER OWN EMPIRE

Charlotte Crosby has quit her self-titled reality show to chase ITV gigs after revealing she was banned from BBC’s Celebrity Traitors.

The 35-year-old has had a number of her own reality programmes since shooting to fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore in 2011.

In March 2025, Geordie Stories: Charlotte’s New Baby was released, focusing on her second pregnancy with fiancé, Jake Ankers.

Then later that year, in November, Geordie Stories: Charlotte Mam of Two premiered on the streamer, following her life with daughters Alba Jean and Pixi Cecilia.

But after just four episodes, it’s not going to be returning anytime soon.

Charlotte said: ‘I won’t be continuing doing that one, not that exact show.

‘Whether or not I have another show about my life or following my wedding, that will happen at some point when I do decide to get married, but right now that show with Paramount is parked up.’

She continued to The Sun: ‘I think I really want to focus on doing some big shows this year and doing stuff on other channels.

‘I’d love to be on ITV a bit more and really dip my foot into some other opportunities.

‘I’ve got loads of ideas myself and that show took up a lot of my time. When I film that show it’s over seven or eight months of my life.

‘I think I just need to make some room for some new and exciting opportunities.’

Daily Mail have contacted Paramount for comment.

Charlotte has had a very successful career in television over the years.

She has starred in Geordie Shore between 2011 and 2016, and again between 2022 and 2024, before sensationally quitting after a huge row with co-star Marnie Simpson.

In January last year the star insisted that she won’t return to Geordie Shore – and there will ‘never be an olive branch’ with Marnie after their dramatic fall out.

The mum-of-two has appeared on various other shows including Celebrity Big Brother, Ex on the Beach, Celebs Go Dating, Just Tattoo of Us, Celebrity Coach Trip, Geordie Shore OGs, Celebrity Masterchef and Geordie React.

But there is one programme she won’t be taking part in.

Charlotte recently revealed a secret Celebrity Traitors rule that bans dozens of stars from appearing in the next series.

The BBC show’s star-studded spin-off first aired late last year, with 19 famous faces stepping into the iconic castle, which was won by funnyman Alan Carr.

A second installment has already been confirmed – and speculation is rife as to who will take part.

In a recent interview, Charlotte claimed she and other reality names are not allowed to sign up – despite wishing to take part.

She told The Sun: ‘I would love to do that, but you do know they’ve got a no reality rule. That is a genuine fact.

‘My agent is on the line and he will confirm. They take no reality stars. A lot of shows have this rule.’

Charlotte added: ‘I’m A Celebrity used to have this rule.

‘But it gets to the point where they’ve obviously run out of big names so they have to start delving into reality.

‘So they’ll have this rule for maybe three or four series and then they might have to break the mould a bit. As soon as they do, I will be there with my f*****g cloak.’

This revelation came as Charlotte was promoting Celebs with Tools, a new three-part DIY YouTube reality series also featuring Jake Quickenden and Ollie Locke.

Among Celebrity Traitors’ series one contestants were Sir Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Clare Balding, Celia Imrie and Tom Daley, to name a few.

Competing under the watchful eye of Claudia Winkleman, it was comedian and presenter Alan Carr, 49, took the win as a Traitor.

Speaking on Scott Mill’s BBC Radio 2 show, Alan explained how he accidentally let the cat out of the bag after heading to film new Channel 4 show Secret Genius, straight after his return from the Scottish highlands.

Alan laughed: ‘The cameraman goes: “Congratulations” and I go: “How did you know I won?” He said “I didn’t”‘.

‘So I told them within 12 hours that I had won The Traitors.’

Alan said after realising what he had done, tried his best to backtrack and told the camera operator he was ‘joking and teasing’

‘I went: “haha, got you!” I had to backtrack, because you can’t tell anything But I did well, and I didn’t want to spoil it’.

Last month, it was revealed This Morning presenter Alison Hammond is reportedly in talks with BBC bosses to appear on the next series of The Celebrity Traitors.

A source told The Sun: ‘The Beeb thinks she could be comedy gold, just like Alan Carr.

‘Alison is naturally very funny and they think she could end up being hugely successful.

‘The pot of talent wanting to take part is overflowing, so they have a lot to weigh up.’

Another name said to be in the mix is comedian and Inside No.9 star Steve Pemberton.

The British actor, 58, is said to be a huge fan of the hit BBC spin-off and is one of several big names bosses are believed to be keen to sign up.

The League of Gentlemen star has reportedly been in talks with producers since publicly expressing his love for the show when it first launched in 2022.

They could also potentially be joined in the castle by the likes of singer Cheryl and actor Danny Dyer.

Celebrity Traitors series one is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
