Alan Carr has revealed how he accidentally let slip that he’d won Celebrity Traitors within hours of filming the grand final.
Eleven million viewers watched last year as the treacherous funnyman, 49, beat faithfuls Joe Marler, 35, Nick Mohammed, 45, and David Olusoga, 55, to claim the £87,500 prize pot for charity.
But while everyone is sworn to secrecy after filming wraps ahead of transmission, Alan has confessed he only managed to keep the secret for 12 hours.
Speaking on Scott Mill’s BBC Radio 2 show, he explained how he accidentally let the cat out of the bag after heading to film new Channel 4 show Secret Genius, straight after his return from the Scottish highlands.
Alan laughed: ‘The cameraman goes: “Congratulations” and I go: “How did you know I won?” He said “I didn’t”‘.
‘So I told them within 12 hours that I had won The Traitors.’

Alan said after realising what he had done, tried his best to backtrack and told the camera operator he was ‘joking and teasing’
‘I went: “haha, got you!” I had to backtrack, because you can’t tell anything But I did well, and I didn’t want to spoil it’.
Meanwhile the home in sun-soaked Corfu Alan and Amanda Holden renovated for their BBC show is reportedly set to make a huge profit after going on sale.
The BGT judge, 54, and her comedian pal transformed the run down property after heading to Greece for their latest series, following them rescuing similar homes in Italy and Spain.
And now all their hard work appears to be paying off after the house went on sale for a whopping £585K, which would net them a cool £350,000 profit.
According to The Sun the picturesque property in the village of Kokkini was bought for just £30,000 and all profits will go to Children in Need and Comic Relief.
Branding the refurb their ‘worst’ ever, Alan said on the show: ‘I don’t even think it was a house! Even though we’re getting better at DIY, when we saw the state of it, my heart sank. But the transformation was mind-blowing’.
While Amanda added: ‘It didn’t have stairs inside, it didn’t have windows. Oh yes, and there was a message in blood written on the door outside.’

Daily Mail have contacted BBC for comment.
Alan has also opened up about why he doesn’t want the Strictly Come Dancing host job – urging the BBC to ‘give it to someone else!’
Previous speculation suggested the comedian, 49, and pal Amanda Holden, 54, were being lined up as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman‘s successors.
Speaking at a Q&A for his new Channel 4 show Secret Genius, Alan revealed why he isn’t interested in taking up the gig.
While acknowledging it would be ‘an honour’, he explained: ‘I just think I like watching the show, I don’t love it.

‘I think it would be better for someone who really, really loves it, you know.
‘And they asked me all the time to be on it and stuff. I just think, wouldn’t it be great to get someone fresh, someone new.
‘That show is so adored and so loved. You want someone in there who’s like, ‘Yeah, this Paso Doble was…’. I don’t give a s**t.
‘Give it to someone else, yeah.’
