The first trailer for Jesy Nelson’s highly anticipated new Prime Video documentary has finally been unveiled — and it’s clear viewers are about to witness the most raw, emotional chapter of her life.

The docu-series, titled Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, follows the 34-year-old singer as she navigates life after leaving the chart-topping girl group, embarking on a solo career, and becoming a mother — while facing circumstances no one could have prepared her for.

And from the very first moments of the trailer, it’s evident this is not an easy watch.

“Just Give Me a Minute…”

In the opening scenes, Jesy is seen sitting quietly before cameras, visibly overwhelmed.
“I’ve never spoken about this,” she admits, before pausing and asking softly, “Just give me a minute.”

What follows is a powerful montage spanning her entire life — from childhood memories to flashes of her performing on The X Factor, and later, her time in Little Mix under blinding stage lights.

“I’ve always wanted to entertain people,” Jesy reflects.
“It feels very magical — and then very quickly, it isn’t.”

A Story She Stayed Silent About

As clips of her Little Mix years roll on screen, Jesy finally addresses the silence that surrounded her departure from the group.

“I’ve always stayed quiet because I’m the one that left,” she says.
“I’ve really struggled keeping all of this in. Now I’m ready to share my side of the story.”

For the first time, the cameras follow Jesy not as a pop star — but as a woman stepping into motherhood, documenting what she believed would be a joyful new beginning.

Pregnancy, Hope — and Devastating News

During her pregnancy, Jesy and her then-partner Zion Foster are seen preparing to welcome their twin daughters into the world. But the joy quickly turns to fear.

“We’ve just had a scan,” she says, her voice trembling,
“and it hasn’t been the greatest news.”

In one of the most harrowing moments of the trailer, a doctor delivers the devastating reality:
“90 to 95 per cent of the time, both babies don’t make it.”

Jesy breaks down in tears.
“I hate that my body is letting me down,” she cries.

Born Into a Fight

The trailer ends abruptly with Jesy being wheeled into surgery as her daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, are delivered — leaving viewers stunned.

The twins were later diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA Type 1), also known as Werdnig-Hoffmann disease — the most severe form of a rare muscle-wasting condition.

Without treatment, the condition can be fatal before the age of two, causing extreme muscle weakness alongside breathing and swallowing difficulties.

“The Journey I Never Expected”

Jesy later shared the trailer on her Instagram, accompanied by a deeply personal caption explaining why the documentary exists.

“Isn’t it crazy how the universe works, and how it’s all divine timing?” she wrote.

She explained that when she first became pregnant, she made the decision to document everything — believing it would be a beautiful record for her daughters to one day look back on.

But that dream quickly unravelled.

“Little did I know the journey I was about to embark on,” Jesy continued.
“From finding out I was having twins, to learning I had TTTS — a rare condition affecting identical twins — and being told my babies’ survival rate was next to nothing without treatment.”

Jesy revealed she spent three months living in hospital, gave birth prematurely, and remained on the neonatal ward for over a month.

“Bringing them home felt like a dream,” she admitted.
“Like we were finally out of the trenches.”

“The Hardest, Most Painful Time of My Life”

Reflecting on the experience, Jesy described the documentary as one of the hardest things she has ever done.

“It has honestly been one of the most painful times in my life that I’ve ever had to go through — let alone document,” she said.

She revealed she has only managed to watch the series once.

“It’s too emotional,” she admitted.
“But when I did watch it, I saw everything through a completely different lens — now knowing what I know about my girls and their diagnosis.”

A Message for the Future

Despite the heartbreak, Jesy says the documentary is something she hopes will one day inspire her daughters.

“There may come a time when my beautiful girls say to me, ‘Mummy, I don’t think I can do that,’” she wrote.
“And if that day comes, I’ll sit them down and play them this footage.”

Then, she added the words that left fans in tears:
“And I’ll turn to them and say, ‘My darlings — you CAN and you WILL.’”

Fans Rally Behind Jesy

Following the trailer’s release, fans flooded the comments with messages of love and support.

“Finally, the world will see how strong and inspiring you truly are,” one wrote.
“Your girls are so lucky to have you,” said another.

A third added:
“You’re an absolute warrior — those little girls will be so proud of you.”
