After weeks of quietly keeping their romance under wraps, Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson finally let the world in on their relationship with a low-key “soft launch” at Glastonbury.
But instead of celebration, the move unleashed a wave of toxic trolling aimed squarely at Zara — led by angry One Direction fans who appeared furious that she dared to wear an Adidas tracksuit while hanging out with Louis and his friends at the festival.
It marked a striking shift for the 29-year-old star, who had split from her Made In Chelsea boyfriend Sam Thompson just six months earlier. Gone were the polished Chelsea dresses. In their place came a laid-back, festival-ready look that had fans claiming she had “morphed” into her new boyfriend.
And while critics took aim at her new style, her supporters were having none of it.
One fan clapped back:
“Zara, you look amazing. Love and adore you. And for the bullies on here — grow the hell up. You will NEVER have a say in who Louis is with. If they are happy, why does it matter?”

Despite the online hate, Zara and Louis have only grown closer. The couple, who started dating back in March, are set to celebrate their first Christmas together at his Hertfordshire home — joined by his son Freddie and extended family including sisters Lottie and twins Phoebe and Daisy.
Speaking on their new podcast Tea With The Twins, Phoebe and Daisy revealed:
“This is a big Christmas this year — it might be our biggest Christmas. Everyone is coming. We’ve got a new baby this year — Flossy — and we’ve also got another new member as our brother’s got a new girlfriend.”
They added that there would be around 16 family members gathering in total.
An insider told reporters that Zara has been spending almost all of her time at Louis’s place and has “pretty much moved in,” even filming her social media content from his house instead of her parents’.
“They’re in the honeymoon stage and want to be together as much as possible,” the source explained. “Zara travelled with Louis a lot over the summer and now she’s using his place as her base in the UK.”
Once known for her glamorous Chelsea outfits, Zara is now embracing a softer, more relaxed style — and judging by the way she looks alongside Louis, fans believe this transformation is about far more than just clothes.
