The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will demand answers from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about their passionate kiss in France.
Sharon needs to know what the kiss meant to him, because she felt a spark and wants to explore their renewed love possibilities.
Sharon and Nick have had many chances at love. They met when they were just out of high school. They endured many challenges in life, including the loss of their daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes).
Cassie’s death sealed their fate as a couple. Nick sought comfort in Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Sharon found comfort in Brad Carlton (Don Diamont). They’ve tried to make it work several other times, but Nick’s connection to Phyllis is always a sore spot.
Sharon thinks this time could be different for them. For the first time ever, Sharon is in a good place with Phyllis. They aren’t friends exactly, but they can talk to each other without the need of a referee.
Nick Backpeddles
It won’t surprise the Y&R fans to know that Nick will backpeddle on that passionate kiss in France. Sharon was finally happy to have intimacy with Nick, as she had wanted him back for several years.
Last year, Nick wanted to be with Sharon, but feared how it would change their relationship. In the end, they decided to be best friends and not get romantically involved.
Now fast forward to the France kiss, Sharon asked him what the kiss meant to him. She felt they needed to talk about it so they are on the same page.
Nick is coy with Sharon, refusing to discuss it with Sharon. He points out that his family still considers her part of the family. Sharon wants to know if the kiss would change their relationship, but he refuses to say.
Will Nick Break Sharon’s Heart Again?
Sharon has been through so much in the past few years. First, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) suddenly passed away. Then Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) laced her medicine with PCP, leading to hallucinations and a murder trial.
She has just started to balance her life out when she ended up getting an invite from Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Through everything, Nick was her sounding board. He was there for her in a way no one else was. He believed in her and fought for her freedom, and discovered Ian and Jordan laced her psychiatric medicine with PCP.
If Nick pushes Sharon away, it is very possible that he could break her heart again. Let’s hope Nick finds a way to let Sharon down gently and doesn’t flat-out shut her down.
