While Stacey often praises her mum for “saving her sanity” and helping raise her five children, Fiona refuses to be in the spotlight. She’s so private, in fact, that Stacey has been banned from posting photos of her — even blurring her mum’s face in family pictures.
Fans have often wondered why. The reason is simple: Fiona prefers to stay behind the scenes, quietly holding her daughter’s world together.
“She’s the person I go to whenever I’m feeling nervous,” Stacey once confessed. “Even at 30, she still knows how to make me feel like everything’s going to be okay. I miss her cuddles.”
Despite her wish for privacy, Fiona has stepped into the public eye once — during a rare 2017 Loose Women appearance with Stacey, where she spoke openly about raising her daughter.
“When Stacey got pregnant at 17, I thought, ‘I must have been a terrible mother,’” Fiona admitted tearfully. “But now, when I see how strong and kind she is, I couldn’t be prouder.”
Their bond runs deep — Fiona has been by Stacey’s side through every birth, every heartbreak, and every success. During the pandemic, Stacey even wrote her a letter saying:
“I couldn’t have raised my pickles without her. I miss her so much.”
No fame, no filters — just a daughter and the mum who’s been her quiet hero all along.
